How to Remove Bubbles After Fitting
1. Gather Materials
- Vinyl stickers
- Clean cloth or microfiber towel
- Rubbing alcohol or soapy water
- Squeegee or credit card
- Masking tape
2. Choose the Right Location
- Decide where you want to place the sticker on your car or van.
- Clean the area thoroughly to ensure the sticker adheres properly.
3. Prepare the Surface
- Use rubbing alcohol or soapy water to clean the surface where you’ll apply the sticker.
- Wipe away any dirt, grime, or wax residue with a clean cloth.
- Ensure the surface is completely dry and free from dust/debris before proceeding.
4. Position the Sticker
- Align the sticker with your chosen location on the vehicle. Use masking tape to hold it in place.
- Carefully peel off the backing paper from the sticker, exposing the adhesive side.
5. Apply the Sticker
- Start from one edge of the sticker and slowly press it onto the surface using a squeegee or credit card.
- Work gradually, applying even pressure to avoid air bubbles or wrinkles.
- Continue smoothing out the sticker until it’s fully adhered to the surface.
6. Final Touches
- Inspect the edges to ensure they’re firmly stuck to the surface.
- Allow the sticker to set for at least 24 hours before washing the vehicle. DO NOT PRESSURE WASH the sticker.
7. Maintenance
- Wash your vehicle regularly, but avoid high-pressure car washes or abrasive cleaners directly on the sticker.
8. Troubleshooting
- If air bubbles form under the sticker, use a pin or needle to puncture them, then press the air out with a squeegee. Be careful not to scratch the decal with the squeegee once transfer tape has been removed.
- If the sticker wrinkles during application, carefully lift it and smooth it out again.
